I forgot the insolvency register and my credit file were seperate....I presumed it dropped off the insolvency register automatically after 6 years, it never occurred to me I still had to get it removed.

Well it is strange we are all getting these letters before our names are removed off the register, and often before we even have our completion certificates!! but around the time our completions take place! someone seems to be notifying the junk mailers!

I think my IP charged £500 for each of my variation meetings!...obviously if the remortgage is accepted as a full and final you will save on the IP fees for year 6 anyway!. You have a few countdowns on the go dont you Jan! lol I have a couple of small pensions on the go that my parents carried on paying for me when my IVA started, but i wont be UNLOCKING them with Otheroptions.co.uk. The letter states "why not unlock your pension and spend the money on say a holiday!!!...

I agree with kaykay, I would ask the matter to be put to your creditors, whilst your IP can advise you, they dont know which way your creditors would vote at the end of the day. Im still on there, but it says records remain as "current" until 3 months after they have been discharged !

I got a letter from them this morning too! saying congrats that your IVA has come to an end....As my IP hasnt sent me my completion certificate yet, its nice to know someone has advised me that I have presumably been removed off the IVA register!! even if it was Otheroptions.co.uk!![:D]

I never got to speak to my IP once in the whole 5 years of my IVA.....I recon if i had spent 5 years phoning the prime minister I would have probably had more success !! lol[:D]

Maybe the change just happened to coincide with my IVA!...I did owe HMRC money, that was included in my IVA.
