I have been with orange all through my iva, and always renewed my contract before it ended. I would do it via Carphone Warehouse and claim a free gift. Such as this brand new laptop.
Last time I had a large flat screen as a free gift.
It makes sense when money is short.

Good luck with his application. It depends very much on which force it is and their current policy. My force would have dismissed me if I went bankrupt, but accepted an application for an iva. I was a serving police officer at the time though and not an applicant. Having debt in the services does no...

I agree Foggy.

There should be one government based department that deals with this not 3 independent companies that can do what they like. It's disgusting that you have to fight to get these things sorted after 5/6 years of financial struggle.

Gazzio,

What sort of credit limit do they allow you? (if its not too rude a question)

You don't have to use a business bank account. I'm with the Co-Op and use one personal account for personal use and another for solely business. They can tell the cheques and monies going in are for business and are happy to leave things as they are. My accountant is happy. She can see everything in...

Just as Foggy said.

Payplan advised me the last payment date and advised I cancel the DD as soon as the payment was made to avoid any mistakes.

It's the hardest thing I have ever done. Five years of struggle, during which I remarried and had two children.

It is hard but it feels good to be done.

Thank you for your replies. I think a simple 'no' would have been enough though. The concept of these mortgages aren't bad, just those who lie about their affordability. Maybe banning Credit cards, bank loans, car finance etc etc would help too. Maybe Shaun thinks differently, I have just found the ...
