Just noticed something that I thought was quite bizarre...The DebtLine are offering £250 for taking out an IVA when you go through TopCashBack. What does everyone think about this? I feel it's slightly weird to pay someone to start to pay off debts, but then again, I'd have been really glad off £250...

Hi Melanie, Thank you for your reply. You're right, maybe I am beign a bit hasty, I know that it is very difficult to take on new work on a scale like this. It's just really disappointing that they didn't seem to consider how these payments are going to be made (I can't be the only one), or at the v...

Hellooo, Bit of background... I completed my IVA via a F&F back at the beginning of February this year...just weeks after it was agreed I received notice that my case was being transferred to Grant Thornton, at first I contacted them to say, had a F&F approved a few weeks ago and have since paid mon...

Hey guys, If you don't want to wait until the very end of the auction to bid for the item, there is a little program called JBidWatcher. Basically you enter the item number into the program and your ebay username and password and how much you want to pay for the item. Then it will wait until the las...

[:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D] I had a F&F accepted on my IVA last Friday and am now officially debt free ( ignoring the fact that I now have to pay my Mum back [:I] ) To say I am over the moon is an understatement! [:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D] Now I have that o...

Hi, Thanks for all the good luck messages, the meeting is at 2pm. They've told me to phone on Monday for the decision but I'll try and get hold of them later this afternoon to see if it has gone through. On Wednesday they had recevied 2 Accepted votes by proxy so it looks quite hopeful!!! Thanks Aga...

OK, the day is drawing closer now and I have a loads of questions swimming round my head that I thought I'd offer up to you for some possible answers... Has anyone ever had a F&F declined? If so, why? What's the likelihood of any of my creditors bothering to turn up to Friday's meeting? Do they most...

Hello, The idea of a full & final settlement has been intriguing me recently. I am 2 years into a 5 year arrangement and have just under £8000 outstanding having paid just over £5000 so far. Is an offer supposed to be more than the current outstanding amount (i.e. > £8000) or about the same level? T...

Hi, Last year they did contact me as I wasn't paying enough each month. At the last minute the payment changed from £x to £x + 20 after the meeting. I'd set everything up to pay £x and was quite happily paying that until 12 months later when they called to say I was in arrears. I increased the payme...

I have now finally received documents to review my income and outgo! I am slightly worried that I'm going to be asked for more money. I've moved house and now share a house with someone in an attmept to control the amount I was paying on bills because I simply couldn't survive on the money that was ...

My documents state there should be an annual review so I will write to them and query it. It states "At annual intervals the supervisor will review my income and expenditure." I haven't received any correspondance from my IP since the beginning apart from a letter last summer. There had been a mix u...

Hello, Long time reader, first time poster. I'm currently 21 months into my 60 month IVA. I've never had any contact from my IP in relation to an annual review of my Inc & Exp. Who's responsibility is it to gather this information, mine or their's? It's only from reading posts on here that I realise...
