Me again. Sorry just realised didn't give full detailsin initial question. I am married and my wife is not going into an IVA, it is just me. Will this still mean that all teh excess rent from cheaper property will still into IVA or is proportional?

Thank you both for responses. It is looking like the end of November that the move may happen and would like to try and get the IVA moving, if possible, before then. Should I start now and then resubmit new I&E after new costs have been established?

Hi all,

Quick question. I am currently in rented property and looking at the opportunity of an IVA. I am also looking at moving to try and get a cheaper property. If I started an IVA and then moved would the all the difference in rent have to be paid into the IVA?

Thanks,
Dave

Thanks for your kind words Melanie. Hopefully people will read my comments and realise that there is help out there and to listen to the experts. Whilst they give slightly differing views sometimes they are all going in the same way. Like I said it's good to be back :)

Thanks both for your responses. WOW this really is the place where people don't sleep!! I had help before and, foolishly, thought I could do it on my own. Lesson here for anyone new is take a deep breath and look at where you are. It's a long road, but not a lonely one. It feels good to be back here...

At teh time I thought I could deal with it myself and so embarked on talking with my creditors directly and came to an agreement with. All was working fin until earl...

Hi Melanie,

Many thanks for such a prompt reply. I do not wish to go down the bankcruptcy if I can help it but if that is the best route then will consider it. Can you give me some details where I can find out more about DMP please?
