It may sound as though I am stating the obvious - it really isn't intended that way - but have those in receipt of a CC checked if they are still showing on the IVA Live Register?? I am under the impression it takes some time to be removed from the register after you have received a CC. I would imag...

I think possibly an Insolvency Lawyer may be the only person that could shed light - FACTS - on the mass variation subject! I'm also thinking that what Winston123 stated, referring to the amount of agreed monthly terms your IVA would not exceed (usually 72 months) then this should stand! Your IVA sh...

Fair point Debtanator! I guess it all depends on how much is still out-standing with your creditors! It would be a damn shame if you had say a lottery win to a similar amount whilst PPI/VAT is being investigated.... & GT claim it after you completed your agreed terms & number of payments!!!!! As kit...

Winston123 I know - I tried to email you initially and realised I couldn't. Anyway, today has been very positive for our situation, based on the info you gave me previously! My original agreement stated exactly as yours did (72 months). I attempted to contact my supervisor, but was informed he was b...

Well said kittyface..... In my personal opinion after everything I have now learned thanks to this forum, I feel that rather than the variations GT or other IP's are asking us to sign, it would be far more ethical for the IP's to be giving us the option of signing (a) the variation OR (b) the option...

Thank you so much all of you. I am beginning to find a little comfort, if only by discovering we are most definitely not alone in our situation. Winston - I have asked for a copy of my original agreement (mine put away in one of those safe places that you can never find again!!) and I intend to do e...

Thank you for your time Melanie. Seeking legal advice is my next intended move as I am very scared by all of this & feel GT are pressuring us into the consent!! I have a reasonable level of intelligence but unfortunately this does not extend to understand possible 'small print clauses' which may be ...

Thanks again. From what you tell me, through no fault of your own I'm feeling more & more intimidated by the minute! You have summed it up very well. I would be more than willing for ours to be a test case and I feel a meeting with an Insolvency lawyer may be money well worth spent. As I said, I'm m...

Hi GilliB. Thanks for the nice welcome & your reply. I have actually been advised by a 'money-expert- help-line, that a 'half way house' type agreement has been suggested where the IP agrees to explore ONLY mis-sold PPI as an asset but no other potential windfalls! Have you heard of any IP's agreein...
