I just wondered if your brother said no due to the amount you asked for. Only because I did the same thing, asked my iva co how much they thought would be accepted in a f n f and they estimated about 8k for each my OH and I. I decided to offer them 2,500 for each of us and they proposed it to our cr...

He's 80 years old now,he still works every morning to support his habit every afternoon in the bookies. Very...

Hi, just to update, I had no reply from NRAm after sending the begging letter, but spoke to them and they cannot help at all as they say our income doesn't look likely to improve? I have felt sick for the last month over all of this, the mortgage rise will be on the 16 feb. We will have enough money...

Yes unfortunately, we had a consolidation loan with nram with a balance of about 2,800 when we went into the iva. Do you think this reflects on their decision? I posted a letter to nram this morning outlining that at the end of the iva we would be able to resume normal payments, etc and could they p...

Hi emptypockets, I am in a similar situation as you but with nram. Posted a thread on here yesterday and had some really good advice back. I wrote to nram last night asking if they would extend the terms on our mortgage, as you don't get to speak to anyone who can make a decision by phone. Our mortg...

Thank you everyone truly for the support,so glad that at this time have discovered this site. I would never have even thought that option existed, extending the terms of the mortgage could be our saviour. I will write to nram tonight, and keep my fingers crossed. We would naturally finish paying our...

Hi MrsR, thank you, I have spoken to the management team at nram and they seemed positive we couldn't go interest only any longer, so maybe I should try writing to them and pleading our case. Anything worth a try :) Hi Luluj, thank you, we just don't know which way to turn or what are options are, w...
