My via was completed and I received my certificate about 16-18 months ago. I am still waiting for grant Thornton to sort out ppi tho! I am trying to get hold of my credit reports but can not. The company's are either saying they can not verify my identity (noodle) or they do not accept my card type ...

They offered me £8 something for ppi that ran for nearly 2years. Eic are dealing with it ad I signed the agreement through gt to get my certificate. I'm more than happy for ppi to go in to the iva but the offer is ridiculous!

It's pretty standard, all ppi seems to be counted as an asset so is expected to go in to your iva. I have had to sign for a Barclaycard that I had in 1998, and was paid off a year or 2 later to be included. The offer was only £8 something so not worth the effort really. I have my completion certific...

Melanie, I thankfully have my completion cert now but throughout the time I wad with gt the customer services were terrible. Calls were never returned, I never got the same answer from different people, they refused to offer any assistance when I completed I&e forms even when my circumstance s chang...

I didn't get married during my iva for this exact reason. Most people think as its individual a spouse won't be affected but I was advised both by a solicitor and my ip that as man and wife there will be implications.

Sorry I meant completion certificate, I only received mine in June so I haven't even checked my credit files yet. I have checked the insolvency register and I am of that tho. From what I gather the defaults should drop off after 6 years of the beginning date of your iva, but you would have needed yo...

I had two baby's during my iva, (now expecting my third and iva is over). I was with gt. I was told you couldn't have a maternity break as such, but you could take a payment break which could be up to a year if the iva was varied. I was quite lucky and my fiancee made the payments for me during the ...

Yeah, I was with Willson Phillips and the ip was great there, always reasonable and spoke to me in person but they sold there portfolio to grant Thornton who I never wanted as my ip with them being a big impersonal firm. I just got a letter through the post one day saying Grant Thornton were now my ...

I signed just to get my closure cert. I was told closure would not go ahead without ppi being looked in to. I insisted I didn't have any, they searched and found some on a credit card from 1998, they are pushing to get a payment of £8.31 off Barclaycard. I would think admin costs eic more to push fo...

On many occasions when dealing with gt it was clear that the staff were totally frustrated to. You can imagine that with a number of unhappy customers they take the brunt of people's frustration at gt.

I received mine last month but I am off the insolvency register. I first checked 2 weeks ago and I was off it but I have double and treble checked since! I thought that your ip was meant to send paperwork to your creditors. If you want to do it to be sure maybe check your off the register first, the...

Mine took an additional 3 weeks after the 21 days, they said delays after the 21 days are due to the closure team being small and the high number of cases being closed delays things. They seem to have a very time consuming inner admin process which after the closure team involves documents being sen...

Hi, no you need to speak to your ip about offering a full and final payment. Your ip will need to call a creditors meeting and they would need to agree to the early end to the iva. The fee you have mentioned is a good place to start but you may need to offer interest and the iva fees on top of that ...

As already said you don't need to keep anything for the iva but I personally would keep pay slips, p60s and bank statements (unless your an online banker as they are kept safely for you). If you ever needed to apply for a tax rebate or had a tax issue it's easier to have all pay related stuff. I thi...
