A question about Statutory Interest. It looks likely that we will being paying 100p in the pound and will have to contribute statutory interest. My question is whether this is included as part of the realisations? If it is will the IVA company take their percentage in fees. Personally if they do I t...

Thanks
We were originally with Blair Endersby and were transferred to GT.So yes we did agree the variation, in hindsight we didnt give the hike in fees from 15% to 25% much thought. Still, as you say this was agreed by the creditors.

A question about fees and how they are calculated. I keep seeing expert posts on here saying that fees are usually about 15%, I think this is a little mis leading as we are with Grant Thornton and they are charging 25% of all realisations. We had a large debt so we were due to pay fees of over £13,...

Hi
I have been reading with interest posts about f&f offers.

I can understand how an IVA can be settled with a 'windfall'payment as this is 'free' money but I dont understand how settling a debt with loaned money (from whatever source) makes sense.

Surely this is perpetuating a debt situation.

Thanks again for your input. My understanding is that we have individual IVA's but they are interlocked. There are joint debts which are in each IVA. In terms of the offer it was accepted by all the creditors on my IVA but not by all those on my wifes. Therfore the whole of the offer was rejected. T...

Thanks for your interest and replies to my post. We were originally with Blair Endersby and were switched to Grant Thornton. Blair Endersby were expecting 20% of the asset realisations, but when GT took over they proposed a number of 'improved' new terms which included the adjustment to 25%. We sign...

My wife recieved a Equal Pay Claim payment of £27K, we offered £18K as a full and final settlement. So in total we will have paid into the IVA £62K against an original debt of £50K. We have good reasons for holding back some of the money, we live in a small 3 bed house and have 3 children 2 older gi...

If a Full and Final Offer is refused can we appeal?
Can an IVA provider change the amount of fees charged? Grant Thornton want to take 25% of the realised assets which in our case will be about £20K.
