Remembered another one: I collect Tesco clubcard points which then convert into BA airmiles, it reduces the price of tickets if collected enough miles to cover your destination, so you only pay taxes. I found this very helpful

what happens if IVA fails? as far as I can see from my statements it looks like the bulk of IP fees were collected from year 1 payments, so I would have paid his fees then, not creditors if it failed now?

just goes to show now inconsistent banks are, why would it take 2 weeks anyway for a basic cash account for the purpose of the salary going in. I have to say that Barclays call centers are a bit of a joke but my experience in the branches was always positive

I opened Barclays account whilst in IVA, got everything in the branch there and then, even £10 reserve which is like an overdraft. The good thing about Barclays is that if you pay the cheque in, you can draw against it straight away without waiting for it to clear. Obviously, if you are sure if won'...

I didn't know that but that would explain why, looking yesterday at all my paperwork going back to the start of the IVA, the creditors received surprisingly small proportion of the huge amount of what I actually paid in, which was nearly £700 per month. Well, my non expert view on this - just go for it, you may owe creditors money but you don't owe them your life, so noone can or should put a stop to your trying to improve your prospects.
