Hi all, am after some advice please. Entered into a full and final iva on 13/7/2012 it is listed as completed on 4/7/2013. Does it go from my credit file 6 years after it started or 6 years after the completion date? Also, are there any mortgage companies who ask 'have you had an iva in the last 6 y...

I had a full and final iva in July 2012, completed 2013, I have just been refused a mortgage by halifax, are there any lenders who will consider me 3 years post iva.

Thanks for the speedy responses everyone. This website is a Godsend. When I spoke to NatWest they were obliging and did say that they would update the credit reference agencies. I will give them another try before going to the ICO. Many thanks again.

Hi, I took out a full and final IVA in July 2012 and I got my certificate of completion last year. I have just checked my credit file on noodle and it's showing as 1/5. Thanks for the advice. Have cancelled them all so will just wait and see what happens, have had confirmation that my creditors meeting is Friday 13th! Hmmm! But not too long to wait x

So, I've signed the proposal and MCD received it this morning so that's it, just got to wait for the creditors meeting (which could possibly be Friday 13th eek!) I know what people meant now when they have talked about counting down the days! x

I guess the thing that's troubling me most about the IVA is the fact that it's insolvency. I know the DMP and defaults would stay on my credit file as long as an IVA but it's just that box that you see that says 'have you ever......' I suppose Im worried about the possible implications for the futur...
