Thanks Lesley, did you apply on line? I'm thinking of holding on for another month anyway as I've just applied for a Vanquis card. I also recently took out a contract with T Mobile & I don't really want to have to change my bank details with them before the first DD has gone out.

Foggy, I would imagine there are many suffering in silence. How wonder how many people in IVA's aren't computer savvy? How many are unaware of this forum? I agree that more people should have written to the regulators, gone to their MP & indeed the press however, I think a lot of people in IVA's are...

Personally, I believe it's time these companies were taken to task over this. I had to wait a year for my CC owing to the VAT issue. When I entered the IVA I was led to believe that after 5 years that was it all done and dusted. I was also led to believe that post IVA, you'd be in a better position ...

I've been with NatWest since before starting my IVA. Initially, I had the step account which then became the basic account. I also hold a savings account & I've just opened an ISA account with them. Now that my credit files are clean I am considering changing this account to a Select account, or may...

Having just applied for the card, I note that on the application, Vanquis state that if successful, they'll pass your details on to third party companies (who'll obviously bombard you with spam) unless you contact Vanquis to tell them otherwise. I'm keen to prevent this as I get enough phone calls &...

It is definitely a settled account. No mention of default. The only boxes which contain info are start date (thirteen year ago), date satisfied & update date. There is only payment history showing for 2012, under the month it was paid there is a green s.

So, all the creditors will see is that the account is settled? There is no mention of a default date only a start date, an update date, status 'settled' & further down where is says customer update it shows status as partial settlement, with the explanation 'Payment received as a full and final sett...

I believe you have to sign up for credit expert in order for them to accept it via e mail. Incidentally, my credit score went up by 77 points on the removal of the IVA. The only remaining negative factor is that I don't have any credit agreements! All three of my reports are now clear however, the s...

In my case, I can report a positive outcome from signing up for the free credit expert trial. I agree that there seems to be a long list of options before you finally speak to someone. However, I was advised to e mail the CC to to them, which I did & 6 days later, I received notification that my IVA...

I've had the same problem with them. CC received last summer, yet IVA still showing on Experian with an end date of 00/00/00. Sent them my CC last week via e mail so, hopefully, they'll resolve this within the two weeks they have now indicated.

I've read several reports where people have had problems cancelling with Experian. In hindsight, I now wish I'd just posted my CC off to them. The Call Credit report arrived today & that's as clean as a whistle - only insurance searches on it. So, there's just the IVA to be removed from the Experian...

Update:I contacted Equifax via the online help system & the NOC was gone within 48 hours.[:)] Now it's time for Experian. Unlike Equifax, I didn't take the Free 30 Day trial and went for the £2 Statutory Report. Got access to it yesterday to find it clear - apart from the IVA which is still showing ...

Thanks Foggy, but I'm still a bit confused. It's not showing as a default, rather as 'Settled' & the Status section further down shows as 'Partial Settlement' with the explanation 'Payment received as a full and final settlement although the payment would not fully clear the balance.' Do I need/Am I...

I have started going through my credit files. I'm doing the Equifax one first. Under Credit Agreements, there is only one credit card still showing. It shows a start date from 2000 & a satisfied & updated date from last year, a month apart. (IVA ended in 2011 but I didn't get my completion certifica...

Thanks Melanie, I will do just that. Although, as I mentioned in my first post, the request was that respond within 7 days. This has elapsed as I was away from home & it's 14 days now - is this likely to cause a problem?
