Yeah I don't want a DMP. I have too much debt and want it gone.

Yes sorry, I should have said that I was paying about a £100 a month on my last IVA, which is why I stated that amount. However, I know I couldn't afford much more than that as things stand. That is what I am concerned about. I am hoping it could become statute barred but at the same time, I feel I ...

Hello I failed an IVA about 4 years ago, owing one particular creditor a lot of money (the creditor had bought my debt from other creditors). I received a letter from this creditor, probably about 2 years ago, basically telling me, I owe them x amount, after the failure of my IVA. However, I haven't...

It's just nice someone at the IVA company is on my side. She said it's common sense and that the person handling my case was just sticking to the letter of the law. But she has intervened after seeing my file, hence why she called me last week.

I've won :) Just spoken to one of the insolvency practitioners at my IVA company and she is COMPLETELY on my side. We have agreed to now review my IVA on a quarterly basis but said she is probably going to approach my creditors and argue that the 10/50/50 rule should not apply to me. Also, the monie...

Well I think I have already won and my IVA company (Bridgestones) have finally conceded that it is unfair what they have done to me. Why do I say this? Well today I received my second annual report and and was drawn to the following point; Mr H****** has earned additional income over the last 12 mon...

Yeah I understand Foggy. I think personally I would rather pay an extra couple of months at the end of the 60.

Course,if I was to get a new job, then I would just do another i&e.

So Dancer, do you pay any extra, annually? I am on about just paying any extra at the end of the IVA.

So for example, if your salary was based on earning £12K a year, and you ended up earning £13,500, you would have to pay an extra £150? That is what I am saying. Are you? And add it on to the end of the 60 months. I would be fine with that. Course if you earnt £13,200 or less then you wouldn't pay a...

Why can't they just add on anything more you owe on to the end of the 60 monthly payments?

How can it possibly be fair. You're obviously paying more in to your IVA every month but whilst I am happy to pay the extra should I earn over the 10% then surely some leeway needs to be given if we bring home less.

Thanks guys!!!! I have stated that when I earn more than 10% over my average monthly income, I am happy to pay 50% of anything I own over it. But I would like some leeway when I earn significantly less.

Hello all A very strange development has happened with regards to my post here. On Wednesday, I had a message from a lady at my IVA company who I have never spoken to before. She wanted to discuss my IVA, and in particular, the fluctuations with my wage on a monthly basis. I phoned her this morning,...
