This thread has the makings of going on for ever. As stated in the letter, if you have any questions/reservations call GT on the FREEPHONE number supplied, as I did, and put your points. The outcome of my call was satisfactory for me.

You have done very well in a short space of time custom1. Seems like you and Dad are well focused on a successful outcome and don't worry about the meeting, if your IP didn't think you could make it he wouldn't put you forward for an IVA so stay positive. And don't forget to put the new bank charges...

It seems that the envelope has invoked more conversation than the content, what a shame. No one has mentioned that you are able to keep the 8% interest received from such claims. And before you jump in about fees, if you have any nouse at all you can do the claiming yourself without signing the deal...

Hi and welcome. There is plenty of good advice in the posts above and I would emphasize the ones that say DON'T WORRY. I was a customer of Midland/HSBC for 40 yrs and when I went to them for help as my situation grew worse, I was dropped like a hot spud. Fortunately for me they made their position c...

As we know this is a government initiative to ensure that everyone provides for their own pension. The scheme that the company I work for (large international) has raised the lower payment from 3% to 5% inline with legislation. However, there is still an option to opt out at any time with the clause...

Hi Kravarran My personal experience, so subjective, is that my wife had very similar accident 18mths ago and received compensation to the tune of £2.5K. After medical/solicitors fees were taken out there was £1050 left that was declared to our IP. GT said to send copy of the letter stating all facts...

As usual Melanie wise words and thanks for the boost, I still feel 25 between the ears. I do appreciate that pension will be taken into account but as long we receive even 50% it will allow us to live a little better for the next 4 years than we have for the last 2. My main concern is if I do give u...

Hi everyone 2013 is to be a profound year for me as at the time of my 2nd review in June I will just be receiving state pension. I do not intend to give up my part time job so annual income should increase by approx £7300. Notwithstanding tax increase I should still come away with about £5800 more...

CAP, OH DEAR. A close friend approached this outfit for help and finished up humiliated and confused. He almost went into some sort of clandestine agreement with them until he was shown the light. It is always difficult to choose the right path when in debt and this can only be decided by you person...

Retirment on state pension. I am 17 mths in to a 6 yr IVA and I will be 65 next June. I currently work part time and earn slightly more than the state pension and intend to carry on working when I reach retirement age. My question is, if I draw my state pension will I effectively lose it to the arra...

Welcom crisdawn
See my post as of today called "Creditor Harassment".
All down to the good advice found here and mutual action taken by me and my IP. Don't poke up with it, take action and tell them that they are acting outside the law and it will stop.
Good luck
