After starting my IVA in January 2006 I finally received my certificate of completion today :)
VAT was the main delay.
I had to insist 3 times that there was no PPI to claim but once confirmed in writing I got my certificate in less than a week !!!

okay so now I'm told they can't complete due to PPI. I'm disgusted as I've heard nothing from them since March when they stated they were just waiting VAT claims. I have never been mis-sold PPI, I always requested it to ensure I was covered. Can I be forced to make a false claim ?

Is anyone on here getting their certificate of completion through from Nuttalls. My IVA finished in January 2011, I was a little behind and made my final payment in June. I know that VAT slowed things down but 12 months later it's getting a little silly !

Just cleaning up my credit file and being quite successful but I'm a bit stuck with an old O2 account, now sold to Lowell Group. Be great if you could answer a few questions. The entry under O2 on my file is green and settled, Lowell is in default. O2 never defaulted the account, although I'm sure t...

My Iva is almost complete, just waiting for HMRC VAT rebate [:(!] Decided to check my credit file. Found a value of £500 on there relating to Blackhorse which was included in my original IVA agreement. Rang them up and they said it had been sold on !!! Shock Horror !!! Wrote a letter on Monday expla...

1.As far as I can tell IP's can still claim back the VAT on a closed case. 2. My IP have made no effort to communicate any of this (January 2011 I last heard from my IP with the exception of the PPI letter) 3. It has been almost 6 months since my last payment 4. Keeping cases open is at the discreti...

It will be many months before the VAT issue is fully resolved in my opinion - and we all do have to move on at the same time.

Bit more digging reveals that VAT is only on the IP's charges. Advice to the IP's is to keep cases open but it is entirely at the discretion of the IP and they can review on a case by case basis from http://www.icaew.com/technical/insolvency/~/media/Files/Technical/Insolvency/insolvency-sig/iva.ashx...

Now I think about it PPI was definately not mis sold to me. In cases it was offered and willingly accepted, I'm not self employed nor am I affected by any of the other reasons for claiming I have heard mentioned elsewhere. Is there a legal deadline from the point at which you make final payment to w...
