Thanks guys. I have previously spoken to Ryan and he thinks he could help. I just wanted to avoid the brokers if possible as they charge commission which can be quite alot. Based on my current credit files I would be accepted for a mortgage had I not had the IVA. The IVA is not showing on there anym...

Forgot to say, on other forums some people are saying that they just "forgot" to tell the lenders, which would worry me in case they ever found out. Which is probably not likely but I'm a nervous wreck at the best of times!

Hello There People! My IVA started in Jan 2006 and is no longer on my credit files. My files are in tip top shape and I am about to start the process of applying for a mortgage and have been told by a couple of brokers that it is possible once it is off the credit files. However, I would like to see...

Thanks guys that's really great information. I only raised one dispute and put both the errors on there. Hope that's ok. Do you think I should also send a hard copy letter to them as well or do you think the online dispute is enough?

Exquifax are saying that unless you ask them to remove the IVA from the Notice of Correction part then it will stay on there indefinitely and I don't want that as I am trying to clean up my credit file. The two other agencies have been no problem at all.

I have been looking online and people are saying that Equifax automatically move your IVA from the public notice section to the notice of correction section and you have to ask them to remove it which they have to.

Thanks TheMatrix. I have spoken to Equifax and they have told me to raise a dispute online which I have done. Hopefully I should hear back sooner rather than later although judging by peoples comments online they are incredibly slow in responding. I wish they would just do it over the phone.

Hi Everyone, I have come for a rant! My IVA started on 30/1/06 and therefore should of dropped off my credit file yesterday. I have just bought my Equifax report online only to find (suprise suprise) that the IVA has disapeared from the court judgement part but it is in the "Notice of Correction" pa...

Just an update on this. I managed to email Northern Rock after sending the letter in and they replied saying that I now need to speak to NRAM as when Northern Rock went belly up it split the company and my file went to NRAM. So..... I managed to speak to a lovely lady at NRAM who tried to speak to m...

Hi all! I completed my iva in jan 2011 after 5 years with pay plan. Having read what other people have said about their companies I think they are incredibly laid back. I never heard a peep out of them other than receiving an expenditure form once a year. They never once asked for bank statements or...

Both companies advice is free and there are no fees until the mortgage has been processed. God knows to be honest, we'll just have to wait and see what happens.
