Hi Richard, The main purpose of the variation is to enable Varden Nuttall to deal with the outstanding PPI issues after the IVA has been closed and to ensure that all PPI claims are dealt with in the same way on all cases. This prevents us having to keep IVA's open any longer than is absolutely nece...

Hi Bee, its is a coincidence that the paperwork was sent to you after you contacted us. All Varden Nuttall clients are being sent paperwork with a Deed of Assignment attached this week. This process should enable Varden Nuttall to close IVA's where the only outstanding issue is the PPI investigation...

Hi Tallchris, Unfortunately the PPI investigations and complications surrounding this have taken far longer than anybody anticipated. It took our regulators until March this year to finally issue some form of guidance on this and we were advised to take legal advice. We instructed a barrister to est...

Before you look at a mortgage get a copy of your credit file and make sure that enough time has elapsed for any defaults to have been removed. Also it takes a few months from receiving your completion report for the IVA flag to be removed from your credit file. Try one of the online credit reference...

You need to attempt to obtain a mortgage to get written confirmation either way, otherwise you cannot be certain that you cannot.

If you approach 2 lenders and get rejected by both based on your current circumstances then you should be able to get this in writing and provide it to court.

Hi Mark, Taking out additional credit is a breach of your IVA so technically your arrangement could be failed due to this. Having said that if you speak with your IP and explain the situation, agree a repayment plan with the payday lenders at a level that allows you to maintain some form of contribu...

Regarding the deed of assignment it is currently being drafted by a solicitor and following this it will need reviewing by a barrister. I haven't been given a definitive timescale although the indication I have received is that it should take approximately one month (***this is just an estimate***)....

Hi Melanie, I thought that only referred to client money and not estate money? The reason no interest is applied is due to the current low interest rates. Historically we did receive quarterly interest on estate accounts. More recently our bank have applied a zero interest rate on the account. I sup...

To a...
