Prepayment meters have a higher tariff and come winter they will take a lot more money from you as your useage will increase. I would recommend keeping your credit meters and having a Direct Debit as the tariff is lower and you can budget over 12 months for the winter months.

Hi Connie I had charges on my bank account for being £1.04 overdrawn. I rang telephone banking and was told I had to write a letter. I went into my branch and they sorted it out. I would suggest going into a local branch as they have more power to sort out charges etc then their colleagues in a cust...

I'm sorry if this is a long message. I'm am 37 months into a 60 month IVA. My original debt was £41,227. My IVA was set up for 6 months at £814 and the remaining at £362. My first 6 months were due to the fact I was working on a project based away from my home so my rent and bills were paid for by t...

I moved in with my partner 2 years ago and was already in an IVA. I've made 33 payments so far. I missed one back in November as I had a lot of travel expenses through work and was struggling to pay for them. The payment is being tacked onto the end of the IVA. My partner has now not worked for 18 m...

I'm not sure about DFD but I would recommend Melanie Giles from this forum. She has had fantastic reviews and certainly knows what she is doing.

If your IVA is accepted then the accoutn should be closed and another opened. If you want to keep a credit meter (constant supply) then you will most likely be asked for a security deposit. The other alternative would be a prepayment meter. If you have a balance over £100 you will not be able to mov...
