Was expecting a battle after reading all the issues and problems that people are experiencing. I have been an avid reader of this forum since my IVA began in November 2006 and have found...

Another query about PPI (sorry!) I make my last payment on the 17th November and prior to taking out my IVA in 2006 had a consolidation loan with First Plus. I had PPI with this loan and paid it off in full by way of re-mortagage in 2004. My question is can I claim back the PPI as I was definitely m...

Hi, I have a Company Credit Card as my job also means that I work overseas - it is with HSBC now but I was originally with AMEX. I had to fill in an agreement form for both cards as although they were Company cards and they are ultimately liable for the debt I have to claim the money off my Company ...

Hi Mattyboy, the original dividend was 40p - when the creditors claims came in the amount owed was not as much as first anticipated plus I managed to get a much better job that increased the monthly payments from £750 to £1,200. We were supposed to try to release equity in year 4 but at that time, a...

It was thanks to the advice on here that I had the courage to ask them to offer the F & F (I felt as though I was forcing them to do something that they had encouraged me not to do!!)- so thank you to all of you for your advice. It may not come off but it is definitely worth a try................. W...

Hi all, msny thsnkd for your replies. I contacted the Mortgage company today who feel that the max they can offer me if £8k - between my husband and I we may be able to raise an additional 2K from our family - so we could potentially raise £10k. I asked my IVA co if this would be acceptable and they...

Sorry jpj - must have been typing our replies at the same time. I agree with you in terms of the length of time to pay the remortgage v paying off the IVA - however, if we do manage to finish with the re-mortgage then we will paying £300 pm less then we are paying with our current provider. My think...

Many thanks for you replies - KAYKAY - This is what I thought of doing but was put off slightly by the IVA company stating that by making an offer of a F & F that was quite a lot less than originally required it would be likely that the creditors would refuse the variation. Their thought were that b...
