Hi Mel, we were only looking at £20 per month over 3 or 5 years and would be from saving we make from our usual allowance. We need to get some money saved towards a car as ours is going to need to be replaced. Good to hear our money will be safe, and thank you for your advice. :)

We have decided that we are going to save a small amount each month in a company sharesave. The money is deducted each month from the salary, but I am wondering whether we should as the scheme is administered by a bank who are one of our creditors, so they may take any money we pay into the scheme. ...

Victim12345, we had EIC on the phone last August. I told them I had not had any PPI mis-sold to us. We did have PPI on a loan about 12 years ago & we made a claim when my husband was off sick for 6 months, but we hadn't realised when we took the policy out that his employer paid full sick pay for 12...

Had another call from EIC this morning telling me GT had a legal obligation to investigate mis sold PPI. I advised her that we have never been mis sold PPI, we had PPI once, but we agreed to it and we made a claim against it when my husband was off sick. I confirmed that we have never been mis sold ...

Thanks lem, speaking to HR easier said than done - anything regarding wages and my husband has to communicate with them via his line manager, who would probably want to know the reason for his enquiry......so for obvious reasons would not want to involve him

Morning Karol, thank you, I will forward my e-mail as requested. Thank you for the advice Melanie. Not sure that deducting the backpay figure from the net wage will give an accurate calculation as tax, NI and pension has been deducted from the backpay as well as the overtime, or maybe I'm trying to ...

We have a 10% 50/50 clause and I normally calculate extra payments due and pay within 14 days as per our contract, however, my husband's last pay included overtime and back pay. Back pay is not included and we are allowed to keep the whole of this. I e-mailed GT over a week ago to ask them to calcul...

We had no problems opening a Co op account, we changed to them from RBS a year ago when they restricted cash withdrawals to Tesco & RBS machines. Only draw back is online banking, not as up to date as RBS, takes a few days for transactions to show on your acccount, whereas every transaction with RBS...

We had an higher expenses last year to get our 10 year old car through the MOT, fortunately we had overtime so had enough to pay for the repairs. This year at our review I submitted all the receipts and asked for our allowance for car repairs to be increased, based on what we paid out last year & th...

Hi Vimto I would definitely take up Oscar's advice about approaching your letting agent.[:)] Re approaching your local council - most authorities now administer a choice based lettings scheme and work in partnership with housing associations and private landlords who advertise their vacant propertie...

Hi Vimto, I hope you are able to raise the funds to find a new home in the private rented sector. To add to previous posts, your LL does have to give you 2 months notice, it's the law. Even when the notice period has expired, you still have a legal right to remain in the property and you LL will hav...
