Very true. I have never discussed our situation with my family and I have just 1 friend I have confided in. Defo a stigma attached to debt problems. It's reassuring to know we are not alone x

I cannot believe we have just had our proposal of a full and final offer accepted!!!! Sooooo happy. Thank god I picked up the phone to Melanie Giles back in august when I was at my wits end. I cannot thank the team enough. What a great start to the new year and we have learnt a new skill-budgeting!!...

From someone just embarking on the journey can I say how important your comments are. this site is what encouraged me to ring Mel a week ago-I feel I can now look forward and am working hard to get my paperwork in order so that my IVA can be proposed.

In the process of gathering info for iva proposal to be done. I have bank accounts and credit cards with the same bank. I understand the right to set off any credit balances against any debts, however does this continue after the iva is set up?
