Hi and thanks for the welcome. The whole conversation came up during my annual review, as it was the forth year I was required to get the house valued and confirmation that I couldn't remortgage etc to release equity. I had 12 monthly payments at £376 to pay and the equity in the house was just over...

Don't wish to muddy the waters or be drawn on the whole moral debate! However, in answer to your query about amounts to be offered etc, I offered just less than half the balance outstanding and it was accepted.

Obviously every case/IVA company is going to be different.

I can only speak from my own experience but no credit checks were ever run on me for the duration of my IVA so don't think you will get found out.

Maybe you should speak to them though if you are struggling to manage - perhaps you need to revise your payments.

Hi to everyone, I've not posted before but have used this forum loads during my IVA. I noticed a few questions about full and final settlement offers and thought I'd post my experience. My full and final was accepted after 4 years and was just less than 50% of the balance that would have been due to...

Hi Kris,

Sorry for the conflicting advice but my IVA is actually with Payplan and I had to provide a letter from my Father confirming he was willing to lend the money and also proof of where he was getting the money from.

Not sure if this is different in each case though.

Hi, I am in year 4 of my IVA and have just had a shock too. Like Kallis3, I thought that as I wouldn't be able to introduce my share of the equity, my IVA would simply continue for a further 12 months (beyond the normal 60). However, I have been told today that this is highly unlikely and unless the...

I am 4 years into my IVA and have just checked my credit file. Bizarrely, I am apparently a "good" risk with a score of 900 even though my IVA is detailed on there! I find that astonishing and very irresponsible. Anyway, my question is this; I had a CCJ issued by one of my creditors as soon as I sta...

Thanks Oscar x. It has been stressful as I am sure it is for many. I thought that I'd start to feel relieved but am obviously petrified that this mistake may cost me dearly. In response to the previous question; I didn't include them for the reasons I stated in a previous post and no, my IP does not...

My IVA is with Payplan too and I have never had any problems with them. They are always efficient and helpful.

Not having your P60 to hand will not be an issue as you can easily obtain a copy but I think you'll find that your year to date salary details will suffice.

No, I wouldn't have used them. As I stated in my original post, I do feel foolish for not including them. It was an oversight on my behalf and then once the IVA had been agreed I didn't want to risk endangering it.

Obviously in hindsight I realise that I probably already have.

I was in the same position when I applied for my IVA and it didn't cause a problem.

It was a huge relief not to have people pursuing me for money.

Good luck whatever you decide.

Yes there was a balance on both of them. I haven't used them since and they were destroyed.

I have just checked the wording of my IVA and it states that I shouldn't take out more credit - which I haven't, it was in existence when the IVA was set up.

They clearly don't credit check you as I have been in mine for almost 4 years and they've never flagged up these credit cards.

I have been living on a very tight budget and not proud of having to enter an IVA.

I have paid the minimum out of my allowance but they are now coming to an end.

I'm just worried that due to my ignorance I may have threatened the successful completion of the IVA.

Thank you for all your thoughts.
