I think it was Confucius who said "a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step". I took my first "single step" way back in 2006, over twelve years ago. it was seven years today when I made the final payment into my IVA, an anniversary that is indelibly etched into my memory. The day that...

Hi, I had exactly the same situation, and the company issued me with an HSBC card, who wee one f my creditors. It wasn't a problem as the account was in the name of the company so it would say you have nothing to worry about.

Not really an issue for you now, they generally are registered on the start date (or very near) and will automatically drop off after six years. Just sign up to Noddle or clearscore if you want to check but to be honest i would just focus on getting through your IVA and worry about all these bits an...

Hi, I would echo as above, have a chat with your IP by phone and explain the situation, if that's the only thing standing in your way I would imagine their is a way they can get the process of cert issue moving faster for you. Also definitely making some fuss with Halifax, they should be treating yo...

Hi, Many congratulations, its a nice moment. Your IVA Co will sort all the paperwork and they shouldn't ask you for anything else at this stage, after that its just a case of checking that all creditor claims are in and they can then start to close it all down. Ours took around 6 months from final p...

20% off today is little use on a £50 coat that ends up costing you £100 because of the credit agreement you signed. I am not sure how these stores stand legally beacuse in essence they are selling financial products so I would have thought that positioning the signing of a credit agreement as "would...

Hi,

fantastic news well done. I had a similar experience with DFD they really were excellent and the final bits were wrapped up really efficiently. My IVA finished in 2011 and I'm glad to see that DFD are still doing such great work.

Hi there,

mine took six months from completion, hang on in there, there is usually a ton of paperwork for them to sort, such as claims that might not yet have been made or over/ under claims etc.... you should have it before long.
