If Jacqecc is in negative equity, does that not mean automatically they can't get/doesn't have to apply for a remortgage?? And that the IVA will conclude when originally planned? Or have I misunderstood this part of IVA.

So the money owed on the secure loan will not be taken off any equity we may have?? I find this very strange, as a secred loan is given in the first instance on equity.
Hopefully we won't have any equity anyway, so will finish as planned after year 5!

Hi. Me & hubby are with MD&C & are now in year 4[:)]
We have had no problems whatsoever with them & would recommend them to anyone wanting to go down the IVA route. They are friendly & helpful, and if anything work more with the customer than the creditor.
