We opened 2 separate savings accounts with CO-OP during our IVA to help with budgeting, on both occasions we were refused initially but asked for the accounts to be refered and they were both opened with no further problems. Cars are a nightmare for breaking when you can least manage it. Hope you get sorted out - may be with a payment break and things get better for you.

We signed up for Virgin Broadband and phone mid IVA - couldn't get normal broadband round here. We had to pay a month in advance but after that everything was set up on direct debit and no further problems. We did join over the phone as we suspected we may have been turned down applying online.
