Apologies for the delay. Have been waring with solicitors. Ex wont stump up more cash but he has agreed that if I move out and have left on 28th Feb he will give me £2k which he confirmed with another horrid solicitor letter. However I can take whatever possessions I want and that the only condition...

Thank you for the positive messages. I have requested that as he is so eager for me to move he should consider raising his initial lump sum figure and suggest any properties that he feels would be appropriate. I have also set out list of possessions I will be taking which is most things actually. Ho...

He wont agree to the money unless I confirm the date I will be moving out. So is a stalemate at the moment. I can tolerate that though as it should keep him sweating for a couple of days until solicitor drafts the letter. Have got one place to look on Friday that will take a cat so fingers crossed v...

Update about meeting with solicitor. All I can say is that I am £120 lighter in pocket and none the wiser. Possibly able to argue beneficial interest but that will cost me a fortune in solicitors fees. Ex partner appears very desperate to get me out as he emails me daily stating that he agrees to al...

Have just looked under public records on Experian and I have 0 listed for IVA, CCJ and bankrupcy. I have 2 defaults though from 2008. If it isnt on experian do you think letting agencies will picK up the IVA?

I suspect that there is a reason for his offer. I have just checked my credit report with experian and what a surprise i am in the poor category. Where would the IVA be as I can only see a default on the account?

I live in Southampton at the moment. Ex partner is looking at having agreement formally written up but I am not fully in agreement so far (which sounds ironic) as there must be something in it that he is suddenly offering me money and free choice over what possessions I can take?. I am meeting with ...

Thank you once again for all the advice given. Think in relation to starting afresh it would be better if I left this place. too many memories. I still am actively seeking accomodation with no look so far. Already someone has dropped to scam me on Gumtree but saw it coming- so no harm done. Would pr...

Thanks. Feels like all is lost. Feel very demoralised now. Did take the CAB appointment though. I tried a couple of solicitors and the one above was the most reasonable. Tried local authority am not a priority. I was quite surprised that Payplan were unhelpful.

I would like to be able to say that my day has been positive. But that would be untrue. All letting agencies I approached said that they would require either 6 months rent or a guarantor.I have neither. Also no rentals will take cat so am completely disadvantaged. Citizens Advice Bureau dont have an...
