Thanks for the replies. Obviously I plan to keep our IP updated with any changes but was just wondering if the banks can or have to say anything or is it nothing to do with them? Still trying to completely understand the implications of the IVA especially with regards to banking (had so much trouble...

HI, My husband and I have been in an IVA for 2 1/2 years. We have 3 cars, which have been declared, due to one being wheelchair adapted for my job. The wheel chair adapted vehicle is in the process of being written off and we need to sell one of the others so we can afford to replace the wheelchair ...

HI Kallis3, We have only had the IVA 7 months so still have a long way to go hence not wanting to wait until it's clear. BR wasn't an option as we wanted to keep our house. I was just curious regarding having a baby as I've been thinking about it a lot since my father in law died.

My Husband and I are currently in a joint IVA. Can anyone tell me where I stand if I get pregnant? I wouldn't give up work but would need to either reduce my hours or pay for full time childcare! I'm 37 and probably don't have many years left to have a family.

We were putting away money for the cars etc as we were told to do by our IVA company. We don't intend on saving as such just putting money aside that we have been allocated for repairs, tax etc.

Thanks Foggy. No Natwest said they couldn't open any bank account without a discharge certificate! Obviously with the IVA you don't get that for 5 or 6 years!!

My husband and I entered an IVA in October last year. Before we were accepted we open an account with First direct in anticipation of the IVA going ahead. At the beginning of last month the bank contacted me to say they had been informed of the IVA and were cancelling our account. We have been given...
