i think that allowing someone to win such an obscene amount of money is ludicrous. Normal souls like me and the rest of us in here wouldn't have a hope in hell of getting our heads around it. I would prefer it if these jackpots were capped at about £10m which is more than enough for one person, and ...

I fully understand how you feel. I was physically shaking when i cancelled all my DD's and SO's, i felt sick. I also had all the normal what if's that you decribe. You will have to put your full faith in your IP as Kallis and others say. Easier said than done i know, but you have to accept that we h...

Well done another one past the finishing post. A good few almost there and a few just starting out, the main thing is you are all on the home run now whether it is one or 72 months to go, the light at the end of the tunnel may just be a small dot but at least it is there and you can see it, and each...

I would personally outlaw credit cards. I have managed for nearly six years without one, and will continue to manage, OK so if i go to America again i will probably need one, thats easily fixed I wont go to America. There is a local store that wont accept my Co-op debit card, so i go somewhere that ...

A few of you will remember me from a few months back. Sorry for the absence but things have been a bit hectic, and the computer caused problems. But alas I am back to offer support to those who helped me and the newcomers. I completed the IVA in March, and oh how things move on at a pace. Now well a...

Hi we were with First Direct prior to IVA and didnt owe them anything, they were awful with us when we told them about the IVA, closed our accounts and were very rude about the whole IVA. We went with LLoyds who so far have been great but the dont know about the IVA. As herbekj has said......we are...

Your end date will be when you have made the correct amount of monthly contributions, so if it is a 60 month plan, then after month 60 its done, unless it can be extended for whatever reasons are in your terms and conditions, with 5 months left I would have thought you would have been informed by no...

K19, I was in a similar scenario as yourself. I had 48K of debt, but i wasnt in arrears with anything, but i was struggling. I took the IVA route, and to be honest it is the best thing i have ever done. I spent years juggling lots of balls so to speak but wasn't making any headway. In my opinion IVa...

howard07 - it is now 5 months since mine finished. I have inherited since then as well - but still I pick something up and put it down and say NO ! The IVA certainly helps you to re-focus ! The only extravagence I have had with my inheritance is a new mattress ! Went food shopping today armed with ...

Its been a month now since it all ended. I still haven't got used to being able to go and buy something without wondering, should I, or shouldn't I, what will the IP say etc etc. It feels like i have been given freedom. Those of you still going down the road, stick at it, I know it is not easy, but ...

You will both be fine. my original forecasted dividend was 27p and it went through OK. But due to circumstances and timing my mortgage payment fell through the floor, and my IVA contribution went up as a result, so they got back nearly 60p.
