They were not concerned about IVA assets - more to do with the false claim that the claims companies are pushing through - hoping that the banks would pay them out. Some banks and lender signed an agreemnt last months refusing to deal with claims companies. Hopefully it will make genuine claims easi...

Without adding fire to this discussion -there was a recent (6days ago) report from the FOS about their concern about 6000 false PPI claims submitted via claims companies - statement says they are "looking into it" - so perhaps the tide is turning (i hope).

Some IVAs state you can have up to £500 credit without seeking permission from your IP - if that the case activate the card and throw it in the drawer for emergencies. As you have not get recieved your certificate you still bound by the terms of the IVA. Would not worry about trying to sort out cred...

Holly - thoughts and support to you at his horrible time - do speak to your GP again and also look at some support from other agencies. On of the NHS used websites is www.patient.co.uk, you will find names and addresses for support from these organisations, if and when you feel you need to use them....

Difficult to work out on the information - but your payments should reflect what is left after all your essential outgoings. If you are struggling you do need to speak direct to your IVA company.

Sounds as if you need to talk all your options through with a few good companies.
Any debt programme has its drawbacks - so it depends on your personal circustances etc - which it the better option. Dont feel rush into making any decision until you are sure its for you.
