Its also one of my worries that this is a con to get EIF every last penny. Disgusting. Another worry is that it seems to suggest that if we dont sign we will be considered to be in breach! How on earth DFD have got away with their practices over the past 2yrs is beyond me. For the record I acknowled...

I can only inform you from my own experience with DFD and therefore my opinions. My advice would be to get while you can (if it's not too late) and seek further advice. Speak to at least 2-3 more IP's before you make a decision (something I didn't do which I am living to regret). If it is too late a...

I have arranged an appointment tomorrow for independent legal advice as I am so uncomfortable with this paperwork. I am not expecting great things to happen but at the very least it may help explain the terminology and put my mind at ease. I will let you know how it goes and what they advise.

Its a terrible dilemma and DFD just don't make it any easier do they. There is a worrying section in the paperwork that suggests that if I don't sign it will be considered a breach of my IVA! How is that possible? So really this is not a choice DFD are giving us is it. Seriously, DFD and EIF are rak...

Really worried about the deed of assignment paperwork I have received from DFD. Terrified to sign it as I don't really understand it and am worried that it means I will forever be involved with this dreadful company and their offspring EIF. Also some of the wording is a grave concern. Funny how the ...

Oh dear! DFD are really on a roll aren't they with the abysmal customer service! Unfortunately Beatle this is not uncommon for DFD and if you read the forum there are lots of complaints about them. I have been in my IVA for 4+ years and have never been able to speak directly to my IP supervisor. I e...

Just to update and amend my original post on this subject. I had a phonecall with DFD today about an entirely different matter and happened to enquire where this promised package was as I have not yet received it as promised. Turns out DFD have instructed EIF to contact clients to push the proposal ...

Hi, I feel your pain and have posted about this subject recently. I have yet to receive this so called 'pack' but have had an infuriating phonecall from DFD about what they are trying to force upon us. DFD claim it is for the our benefit but we all know this to be incorrect. I've claimed PPI myself ...

Hi Melanie, I was under the impression that debts were only kept on your credit file for 6yrs? I've made claims on debts included in my IVA and others that were not. I have claimed on every debt I can think of even going back some 10yrs prior to my IVA starting. This does not seem to satisfy DFD and...

Fantastic and insightful advice. I work in the healthcare field and with all the uncertainty surrounding the NHS and public sector becoming self employed is more and more common place and appealing too many. There is an abundance of work and those i've spoken to whom are already self employed have n...

Thanks uptomyneckinit. That news has filled me with hope a little.

As a self-employee could I ask you if you have any advice or know of any good websites/organisations to go to for advice on setting up your own ltd company?

Bradders your post has just made me chuckle no end. You've hit the nail on the head with regards to the intelligence of EIF! [:D] Matt thanks for the offer of emailing you direct. I will await the promised paperwork so I can look it through before contacting you. It may surprise me and actually be s...

Hi,

This might have been asked before so I apologise in advance.

Can you become a Ltd company worker whilst in an IVA or if you have ever been in an IVA? I am seriously thinking of setting my own company up and working this way.

Cheers.

Melanie I completely understand what you're saying and having read the posts on the forum with respect to delays to closures due to PPI and I am therefore fully expecting a delay to occur. My main problem with this issue is the complete lack of transparency from DFD in disclosing what their cut is f...

Hi Radish, I'm unsure what DFD are trying to pull now. I think they're clawing at every case they can to try to force/convince you to sign up with EIF and therefore earn some commission. The caller from DFD tried so hard to try to tell me that they were doing this for my benefit & was clearly readin...
