Personally, I would stop all payments to your DMP. Build up a contingency fund. That's what I did.
My IP firm dealt with it all. They contacted all the creditors and stopped any harrasment. Mel's one of the best. She knows her stuff. She'll have everything in hand.
Good luck

Arrr... ok, I have a STEP account where my salary goes into and my bills go out of, but I transfer the rest of my allowances into my Nat West savings account and I use that to withdraw cash. Do you think the savings account with cashcard will be subject to the same withdrawal restrictions? [:0]

I can't speak for everyone here, but I chose Vincent Bond to propose my IVA. I first contacted Andy Davie on the 3rd Oct 2010, draft proposal was with me within two days. It took me a while to gather all the documents together (due to some creditors being a bit difficult and slow), about 4 weeks I t...

Well done frenchie.... although this is an excellent result and you might not want to rock the boat, are you absolutely sure you are ok with the uplift?... if not, then have a word with your IP. I'm sure they will be happy to negotiate with your creditors to come to an affordable figure. Well done t...

Hi Lem, Sorry you are being intimidated. I had the same thing happen to me when I first started out. I actually answered the calls, BUT when they asked my password, DOB and other security details, I just responded to each question by saying: "I'll tell you mine if you tell me yours first!" They cann...

I had a similar thing happen to me... I contacted a company called Hanover Sterling. They ommitted to tell me when I signed up with them that the first two payments was their setting up fee and then they took £35 out of my payemt each month as well for their fee. I was horrified that two months late...

Hi all, my F&F IVA was approved on Dec 3rd 2010. Yesterday, I received my Certificate of Compliance! WOW, talk about efficient! Would just like to say a HUGE thank you to Andy Davie (Vincent Bond) and Bridgestones for all their hard work and for pushing this through so quickly, and not forgetting my...

I might be wrong, but I was under the impression that your credit report will be shot for 6 years from the date your IVA started, not from when it finished. In Alan's case, he had already paid 3 years when he concluded early in 2008, thus the 6 years will be complete this year 2011 - no?
