Don't fixate on the baked beans with sausage. That occurred because the teenager wanted something outwith our allowances. To get that we had to go on extreme budget. It was his idea to have those meals. We normally cope OK. Big items if they go wrong can cause an issue but we work through. I too hav...

I am with GT and have found them very good. I am not in closures yet and occasionally when I call I do say I am worried about how long the closure will take. You can tell that the case workers who read your file do know about the delays and I think embarrassed about it and that may explain some of t...

It is a struggle some months and I am sure I along with others have shared some of your pain. We can not share all of it as all cases are different but I too wish someone had sat down with me and told me what I was allowed to spend and not. I am luckier than most in that my children helped, my son i...

I separated from husband in year 3 of a joint IVA. I continued all payments and it was extended as obviously I could not get a mortgage as the single person on a joint mortgage, (Ryan from Zebra money was amazing). The IVA should finish in November if all goes well and I have got the decree nisi jus...

That must be the letter came to my house. For my ex partner who does not live at this house and has never in the three years since our separation. He has not given gt his up to date address. I gave it to my solicitor to deal with. Funny how it was not the one who has had to deal properly with gt tha...

I have an advanced CRB for some voluntary work I do. I always say I have no money till the end of the IVA but my time can be donated for free. I had no issues with getting this. Both children have had disclosure checks as well using the same address so no issues.

I kept getting missed calls from a glasgow number. They finally got through said they were calling from GT. They asked some questions. I think all they have been given is a list of numbers of bank accounts and old loans. I am in a joint IVA and they could not even distinguish between mine and my ex ...

I am with GT and am the client from hell. They are very patient with me. I email them and they phone me back. I joke with them that closures will be nightmare and they tell me not. I do admit that they lack the one on one I got at the beginning and since my file is so big and confusing it is a waste...

I am with the firm that gets many complaints on here. They allowed me to use a valuation I got using an online site for free. It was their idea that I got it that way as I could not afford the £120 for the valuation with a surveyor.

Just before my IVA started I opened a Santander basic account. It is really good. I do all my banking on line, I can get money for free out of all major bank machines, and I now have text alerts for when my account gets low. So I can be proactive about putting money in if needed or holding my breath...

I had to ring customer services at GT this week. They now ask whether you were an original GT customer which I was, but they could not find my file at first. That is a bit worrying. EIC sent me a load of forms this week and some were blank i.e. the top of the form had no indication of who I was clai...

There are free on line valuation services that my IP would have accepted. I paid for my valuation I had to save up for it. In the mean time my IP (GT) suggested I used the on line one. For everyone's information the answer was exactly the same. All though the real one did tell me about issues I need...

When we split two years ago GT did not split the IVA and I have continued to pay it. Although now I am in the final year (IVA has been extended) GT were very nice allowing me to include the solicitor in my expenditure. I am not even aware that they contact my ex partner for the review process so I f...
