so how does some people manage a full n final settle ment but only pay a fraction of wot they owe? im sorry i dont know that much about it all im afraid

kallis, does that mean if I manage to come up with what I owe on the IVA as a lump sum, it will be cleared? would they normally take a percentage of what you owe or does it have to be the full wack?

Hi If you are in a position to pay more a month on your iva, does it get paid off quicker or still just run for 5 years but pay more towards it??

The annoying part of all this is that if my ex husband gave me what he owes me in maintenance payments, I wouldn't owe anything!!!!!! Let's hope I hear something soon from the csa. xx

Hi everyone

Ive plucked up the courage to call DFD and they have recuced my payments for me for the next 3 months to £100 to help me get back on my feet. They will then review again in Dec.

Also, when I do contact DFD, is it a good idea to mention that I am awaiting maintenance payments from my ex husband which the csa are currently trying to get off him. He owes me a few grand altogether. Will this maybe go in my favour of keeping the IVA alive even tho im struggling at the moment????...

Can someone tell me what happens if your IVA fails? Can you go bacwards and go back onto a debt management plan with the same company or another company, or is the next step the dreaded bankruptcy??????? xx
