We have 4 dogs (2 of them a large breed), a cat and a rabbit and I am worried how we are going to afford them but I really couldn't give them up as they are part of our family and my kids (and husband and I) love them like they are one of us. I would cut back on my own food to feed our pets. Its a to...

Yes they do - and they tell me that they get a lot of knowledge from the postings, as we all do. They are quite a reasonable lot on the whole! Well I hope the ones who reject the IVAs read what happens next....when the debtors who were prepared to pay back as much as they could through the IVA, the...

This has just dawned on me...do creditors read this forum do you think? I tend to be a very naive person but I would have thought they would be too busy to bother but in thinking about it perhaps they do?!

So, in interlocking IVAs when totalling up each individuals debt the joint account is counted as if each person owes the whole amount however re payment they only get one dividend? Sorry if I've got this wrong again! x

So....I understand that in interlocking IVAs each individual is accountable for the FULL amount of the joint overdraft. What I don't really understand is doesn't this mean that this creditor is getting paid twice which in turn shows preference to this creditor over the others?

Mel's team will not mind you ringing them, they are used to it and would prefer that you asked them directly once you have remembered these things. The forum is great for general advice, but for case specific you are better off speaking directly to your IP. I do understand about the case specific s...

These are things I should have asked Tina when I spoke with her but had not thought of at the time. Different queries keep popping into my head but I really don't want to keep ringing the Mel's team everytime I think of something new. My mind is racing a million miles to the minute presently. Its a l...

Hi just wondering can anyone explain how these work? Are there two different proposals and do creditors vote on each separately? Also, are there two different sets of fees and are these normally double what a single one is? Thanks

Sorry...when I said the system is flawed I meant that it seems a shame that one awkward creditor can ruin the whole thing for the debtor and the rest of the creditors also. IMHO the system would be much improved if the SIVA had been introduced.

All the very best of luck!! One creditor shouldn't be allowed to ruin it for the rest!! The system is flawed!!

Ian, my guess is that it is to do with the number of posts per day. Since you say you haven't posted in a while then your number of post per day would be lower...i don't know though, I'm only guessing really!
