My post was in response to the information the thread starter chose to reveal. I read into the post that they are frightened that their IP will find out about the pay day loans and fail the IVA at the last hurdle. I felt that IVA_kid is fully aware that gaining credit whilst in an IVA is not allowed...

I know it's none of my business, but you have declared this on an open forum; why in hells name are you continuing to take out credit while in an IVA? Surely the principle is that you (and me) have been irresponsible/optimistic in the past with what we can afford to borrow and ultimately pay back, w...

I am with Secure Trust Bank, they supply a Master Card with the account. You have to top it up to whatever limit you need as it isn't a card with credit attached. I use mine for fuel for my company vehicle, which is normally about £500 a month. Thankfully I have a £300 float from my company and can ...

Christmas, yipee. I love Christmas. Me and her-in-doors put a few quid a month into a local store Christmas club, it soon builds into a healthy amount for all the excesses of the season. As a loyal saver we also get a 1/2 leg of lamb, a chicken and bottle of wine free. This leaves enough cash to get...

I had to go into the city center today, not something I relish as it is just too busy. Anyways, I found a £10 note that was all wet and folded up, I don't even know what made me pick it up and have a look at it. I felt real good, £10 better off than a few minutes earlier. On my way back to the car p...

I spent 24 years in the Army. Thank God I got out just as "the poor lambs" were starting to bleet to mummy about getting shouted at by the nasty Sergeant Major! I enjoyed my time and would do it again, even though the "benefits" were appalling.

I still get a fair few letters through the door, fortunately they are all for either my Son or Daughter. Both left home now but can't be bothered to tell their Banks etc they don't live here any more.

I really hope you can sort something out with your IP so you can continue the IVA and not compromise the adoption.

Thanks Jan. This forum and it's members have been as good a tonic as it gets as well. Being able to drop in and get feedback or read a good joke is really a great support tool.

I just realised I am 1/3 of the way through my IVA [8D] Can't say it has been all plain sailing, but so far no problems that have caused a coronary or (more) grey hair.

As a scouser it pains me to say this but, the Charity shield was a lesson on how by building a team, rather than buying a team, you can come back from a deficit and as a team win back the game. Congrats Utd, oh God I feel sick now!

Just put in your new I&E what you believe is reasonable and truthful, the worst your IP can do is get you to 'sharpen your pencil' you won't get into trouble or fail your IVA. I am fortunate that my IVA payments were worked out with me paying £240pm into the IVA, due to a better job, after only 10 m...

If you took out a loan or credit from this debtor while you were in the UK and they were advertising to UK 'customers' then they are within the jurisdiction of the IVA, even if they are a company from outside the UK.
