It will depend entirely on the contractual terms. Generally if it is paid purely 'in lieu' of notice then he will be ok working elsewhere during this period. If however his employment contract has a clause relating to 'garden leave' during notice period this generally means you are still bound by th...

We also had a similar issue with the IR after our IVA started, If it is correct that you owe £700 it could probably be added to your IVA. Your countdown shows you have only been in the IVA for 1 month and the underpayment (debt) would have been before this i.e. tax year end April 2010. If, after que...

Was it his choice not to work his notice period?
If not he should still have been paid for it. I know it doesnt make much difference to nthe situation that you are in but just making sure he gets everything he should.

I wouldnt worry about it, we had a few letters of this type during the IVA. I think it's a requirement of some banks/lenders etc to keep you advised of the full amount outstanding, which it technically is until the IVA ends. They have said they will liase with your IP so wouldnt worry just send them...

Our review reports gave a return estimation, from memory they said something like 'the current level of return is in line with a dividend of 42p'. Wasnt this exact wording but something along these lines so we always knew what the return would be. Have you checked your previous reports? If this addi...

I would double check with NR re the mortgage being portable, since their downfall 2 or 3 years ago they have restructured their mortgage provision and some things that would have been available prior to this have changed. We were told by them during our IVA that they are now 2 businesses, one has th...

You should contact your IP as soon as possible and take their advice. They should go through your I & E with you to see where the problem lies

I doubt very much that you will get a remortgage whilst you are in an IVA, I think there was a post some time ago that suggested the possibility if you had about 50% equity. We couldnt get one anywhere even in the sub prime market and were prepared to pay the IVA for an additional 12 months but in t...

I too was self employed for some of the time in our Iva. I had to submit my accounts and the payment was set based on the net amount (ie after income tax etc).

Well done, great achievement and a great feeling I bet! I would ring or email your IP at payplan and see if they can give you some idea of time for the completion certificate. When mine was complete I had the certificate after about 4 weeks but that was with McCambridge Duffy and I have seen on the ...

I would certainly continue to pay as much of the monthly payment as you can so that you dont fall too far behind while you try and get this sorted. I dont know what a reasonable amount would be to settle but am sure someone will advise you with that. You've not gor long to go now so keep trying as b...

I know every case is individual and the outcome cant be predicted but please be assured they will certainly back your case to the hilt a...
