Hi Jane
Where abouts do you live? If you live in England or Wales the compulsory education leaving age has changed this year.
Students who are in the current year 6 must stay in some form of education or training until they are 17. This rises to 18 from next academic year onwards.

Might be worth looking i...

I'd been with my ex for 16 years when I decided enough was enough and divorced him for unreasonable behaviour. During that time he'd set up a buisiness, which we both worked in. Trouble was the company was just in his name and he refused point blank to make me a partner or director. As the company w...

Courts are not always biased towards the female. My ex could afford the fee's of a very good lawyer and barrister (£25,000 + in total). They certainly knew how to work it and tie everything in knots.
I ended up with very little and have struggled ever since.

Hi Dennis
Just a thought, depending on what you are expected to pay over the remaining term, could you not offer a full and final of all/part of the lump sum in conclusion of your IVA? Especially as you face a 5% reducton in wages.
Might be worth a try

Lloyds TSB were my major creditor.
The voted in favour of my IVA at both my initial creditors meeting and my variation for a full and final.
My initial dividend would have been about 32 pence in the £ and my full and final was only 13 pence in the £

Thanks every one[:)] Hi Tristan, no my f & f offer was well below what was originally expected - only about one third. But my circumstances changed so drastically over the past few months that I have been 'living' on a deficit income. If my creditors had not accpepted bankruptcy would have been the ...
