Hi, I've just got a couple of questions. My IVA has only one payment left and I'm not sure what happens next. Also I sometimes see on here that IVAs are extended beyond the agreed time. Is it possible this will be suggested to me. All of my payments are up to date etc and my IP supervisor hasn't sug...

Well done. I found the first year the hardest, but after that it hasn't been too difficult to adjust to the changes in lifestyle. Keep the faith.

I've had an IVA for the past 4 1/2 years and I've been with Chamberlain and Co, who at the time were based in Leeds, but have several offices now. They have been professional throughout my time with them and it's always been very easy to contact my IP and i always receive a timely response to any qu...

Good news. Heard from my IP today and they have agreed not to increase my payments. Equally good news, I thought I had 7 more payments, but it turns out there's only 6, woo hoo, bring on 4th July. Thanks everyone for their advice, it is greatly appreciated.

Thanks Tina, I've now emailed my IP and await a response. Hopefully we can come to some agreement. However, all I'm thinking at the minute is 7 more payments. As you can imagine paying almost £500 per month out of the only wage coming into the home is going to make a massive difference to me once th...

Every 6 months my IP conducts a review of my expenditure. The problem is (at least i think this is what it is), i work shifts, so my monthly wage does vary depending upon what shifts i've worked (nightshifts and weekends). However, this proposed increase comes on the back of working a lot of nightsh...

Hi, I've just had another 6 monthly review of my finances and my IP has suggested my payments should increase from £490 per month to £560 per month. I'm really struggling as it is and don't think i can afford to pay this extra mooney each month. Is there anything I can do? Thank god i'm 41/2 years...

Oh i hadn't realised that, I just assumed (which I know isn't good) that all IVAs lasted for 5 years (which thankfully mine does). Thanks for that advice, it's greatly appreciated.

i can understand that creditors want more money, but i thought an IVA only lasted 5 years and if that's the case, how can northern rock (who should be far more understanding giiven their recent track record)ask for payments for 6.
