Hi iamfubb2, We do contribute to this forum occasionally and we monitor the discussions here on a regular basis. However me and my team's role is to answer debt questions, rather than talk about CCCS's position within the wider debt management community. If you've got a query that you'd like answere...

I know this is an old post but I too am having difficulty in locating Jackie Westerman's email address. The Insolvency website does not have an email address. I spoke to my case worker 3 weeks ago regarding a query I have and he was to call me back the following day but never did ...still waiting f...

Is there a set up fee for an IVA. I've spoken to the CCCS & sums of £500+ have been mentioned. Is this the case please ? Hi Andy.gr and thanks for your post. I understand that the fees regards to IVAs can be confusing. Like all IVA companies CCCSVA does charge a Nominee and Supervisory fee which w...

That is really odd as CCCS do have a special IVA department. I wonder what criteria they deem makes an IVA acceptable to them and what makes them need to refer it to Grant Thornton. Hi Melanie, We refer self employed and Northern Ireland clients to GT. Also, if the client requires a face to face ap...

For the life of me I do not know where those statistics come from - but I can assure you that they are totally incorrect. Perhaps the CCCS representative who posts on the forum could enlighten us. I rely on information published by The Insolvency Exchange who see almost every IVA that is put forwar...

Hello,
You would need to provide evidence of income and expenditure every 12 months. If there is an increase in surplus income after taking into account expenditure changes it will be 50% of this amount.
Hope this helps clarify things.

My Dad has been really poorly and unfortunately has had to give up work, thus leaving him collecting just £64 a week benefits. He can't afford his loan and creditcard repayments so I advised that he phoned the CCCS and ask for help with his situation. They have advised him to just pay £1 a month as...

Hi Hunnybunny & Andy, I’m not too sure of the full process as yet but will keep you updated as soon as I have more information. As far as I understand it would work in the same way as a DMP – but don’t hold me to that. I’m out of the office now until Monday so will be back on the forum then; hope yo...
