Hi Gillian My advise is to check your credit reports carefully. Make sure your default dates are the same as your IVA start date, that way it will all fall off the reports around the same time. I completed in April and my 6 years is up next week but 1 of my creditors is still showing the wrong defau...

I have 3 defaults left on my credit file, 2 defaulted before my iva commenced and will reach 6 years and drop off before my iva does in September however 1 is currently dated after then. I have written to the creditor asking them to amend the default date. I think its worth writing to your creditors...

Sometimes it felt like I had to move mountains and...

Hi Mary73
I also claimed PPI back from HSBC who refused to pay out in September last year.
I got a phone call yesterday and they have now decided to payout on the condition they can take their share of the refund before my other creditors.
Its worth fighting, don't give up.

I made the final payment into my IVA last august and although I'm still awaiting my completion certificate, I have to say the best thing i did was go into an IVA. I was in what felt like meltdown in 2007. Yes an IVA is tough but now I've come out the other side and for me its been worth all of the s...

Hi Jeano99
I made my final payment in August and am now waiting the completion certificate.
I was with Kingsgate and have to say other than few niggles which were sorted out of the phone I've not experienced anywhere near some of the horror stories posted on this forum.
Good Luck to you

Previously HSBC had refused to payout on my PPI claim due to my IVA (I understand this is being disputed by the PPI Claim Companies). So you can imagine my surprise yesterday when I received a letter fro...
