Hi again, quick update I am having a nightmare! My IP has told me there should be no reason to not get car insurance on D/D payments monthly but everyone I am trying is declining me including one rude sod at Aviva who made it clear it was a credit agreement so I was not permitted to pay monthly but ...

Melanie, yes, almost a year, how time flies! Thank you for your advice, I did find it strange how they questioned this and wanted the full payment up front as you say, it is more pay as you go but I suppose they advertise an APR so its credit in a way but miss payment insurance is invalid so they ca...

Thanks all. The first 2 months were tough as I was not sure where I was with DD's and changing accounts etc but for those considering the IVA route IT DOES settle down and get better. I am off out for a meal with my parents later and normally would pay by credit card, now its on my debit card and pa...

Good afternoon everyone, I hope that you are all well. I am now in month 3 of my IVA and I must admit I have never been happier. Best wished from me, had mine last month and it went through with a very minor variation of another £10 p/m.

As has been said before your IP would not put it forward if they did not think it would succeed.

Best wishes and tomorrow is the start of your debt free life!

I guess we all do but I do quite a fair bit. On the one had I think it was sheer stupidity of my creditors to keep lending and lending to me when they could see all I was doing was paying one off against the other and making minimum payments but on the other hand I also feel that I should have been ...
