HI, been in a DMP since last July, using vincent bond and all is going well. MBNA were fine with my offer but seem to have sold my debt onto Restons Solicitors (who i have read many bad things about). Anyway they started proceeding with a CCJ, when we asked why they said they wanted to get a chargin...

Thanks Jan, i tend not to worry too much because as Andy keeps telling me, 'having no money to pay is a reasonably strong position to be in' !!! Just am a little worried as i could do without a charge on the property as we are trying to sell

Hi all Just got back from a weekend away to find some letters from Metropolitan Collection Services Limited (i think they are part of HSBC). We are in a DMP and so far everyone has been fine and accepted the offer. Only HSBC seem to have dragged their heels, finally things stated to seem like they w...

We are a few months into our DMP and everything is going pretty well, mind you still not heard anything from HSBC o well!! My wife has started getting calls and texts from CSL quoting a reference number and asking her to call. We reckon this must be related to her Barclays overdraft and were wonderi...

Thanks Michael, i do have a few more questions sorry!! How does the DMP and potentially the Repossession affect my credit score for renting a property, i know it has a very negative affect on my credit score, but will this cause us problems in renting somewhere? I spoke with Nemo who said they would...

Hi, We have just started a DMP and we are really wanting to move from our flat to rent a house as we have two young kids. Our mortgage is roughly 250k, and we have a secured loan with nemo of 30k, so we would need to sell for 280 to clear it all. The flat is very difficult to sell as it has a 67 yea...

I can only echo what Bitshort says. We are still fairly early on in our DMP, but VB have been fantastic so far. Yes they have had quite a bit of money from me at a time that i am having to justify every penny spent, but seeing the results already achieved and always being able to speak to someone is...

Hi Poppy123

I have not made any token payments, and recommended not to do so. Also the process of setting it all up seems to be taking a while, which i am told is normal, therefore by the time its all set up the first payment will be coming their way.

Good luck

I will double check, but am pretty sure all six have frozen interest, and i think most of them have said something along the lines of, 'we will review it' so not sure exactly how long that will be. It will feel good to start making inroads to the debt, also it feels good to know more or less how muc...

August was my first month of non payments, letters went out at the beginning of the month after my first payment to VB, started getting phone calls about a week later. I have been lucky so far, the people on the phone seem to be reasonable and understanding, have had to be firm a couple of times and...

Hi Tutu I reckon you have made the right choice, when going through a process which is not very comfortable, having people working on your behalf who you feel comfortable with is worth so much!!! That is why i am with Vincent Bond, and so far i have only positive things to say. I am just over one mo...

Hi Letters were sent out beginning of last week to our 10 creditors. So far we have had acknowledgements from Tesco, Mint, and MBNA, and a phone call from HSBC manager to say my proposal would probably not be accepted as they thought it was not reasonable, to which i responded 'you will have to take...

Thanks for the good wishes The reason i chose Vincent Bond was purely because i felt they offered the best service for me. I spoke with payplan and was very impressed, however for burning questions it proved easier to speak with people at fee paying companies. I am hopeful that i will be paying less...

Hi there, I think it works out at about 17 years with my current proposal, however i am hopeful that my full debt will be paid off considerably sooner than that, ideally i would like to pay back all that i owe. The reason i am hopeful of this is my wife returning to work and my job having pay scales...
