I was also told 3 months from the official completion date. However, it disappeared a day or two after I sent pdfs of the completion docs. My Iva was older than 6 years at this point (like yours) so maybe that had something to do with it?

Thanks everyone! I've had a great week with the credit file cleaning and this prize has topped it off. Believe me everyone...the end of the IVA does come. It's 100% worth the effort.

You could do a lot worse than Melanie Giles' company...I've been on this forum for over 3 years and people who have an IVA with them invariably get looked after really well.

I was tolda by an IR staff member that my IVA would stay on there until 3 months after the official completion date (1st Nov 2013) i.e. would disappear on the 1st Feb 2014 or thereabouts. I questioned it and asked if it didn't behave like the 6 year default rule (my IVA started september 2007) and w...

Can anyone clarify this rule please? The IR site states that safisfied IVAs are still visible up to 3 months after completion. Is that even if it's been more than 6 years since the start date?

I understood that the OP knows someone who she thinks isn't declaring an inheritance and feels bad because her sister is doing her IVA by the book.
This is how I interpreted it too.

Congratulations!

Still, difficult to work out what they're up to. I was told last week that my case officially completed on the 1st November. No documents through the post yet and all 3 credit agencies still have the IVA on them though.

Received an email today from GT telling me that on 1st November my IVA was officially completed and my documents will be with me within 10 days. After all the hassles I've had over the last 6 and a half years I don't know how I feel now...relief I suppose. Just another few weeks of red tape in clear...

Hi,

I mailed iva.closures@uk.gt.com in order to see what is going on with my case and I immediately got an out of office reply? Really...no one there at all until the 16th?

Doh.
