It was more that there was a CCJ and an account both marked as not satisfied when they clearly are. Should I worry about getting these changed to satisfied or just leave them and they'll fall off the edge next month anyway?

Afternoon all, I finished my IVA last summer (felt so good) and I have the certificate of completion. I have kept an eye on my credit report and yes, some items on there have dropped off... but some remain. I've gone down the Vanquis Credit Card route and have been a model customer for the last 6 mo...

Do not fear, once bitten, twice shy! The money to clear the balance in full is already stashed and I haven't even used it yet!

Michael,

That's what I needed to know. So if any defaults show on my credit file as unsatisfied, send a copy of the certificate to that creditor.

Excellent, thank you

UPDATE!

I now have a piece of paper with the words "Certificate of Completion" written on it. Now can anyone tell me what I do with this to clear some of these people off of my credit report?

Well to bring you upto date, Barclaycard said no, Capital One said no, but Vanquish sent me a shiny blue Visa card with a £250 limit and a massive interest rate, buts I'm not complaining to be honest. It didnt arrive by the time I went to India and since Lloyds froze my debit card whilst I was out t...

Melanie,

Believe me, I learnt my lesson when it comes to credit, this is for emergencies and hotel stays only. I think I'll give the Barclaycard and the Vanquis a go this afternoon, the worst they can do is laugh!

Hi Melanie, Thanks for your response and I do value your opinion. I've been on MoneySupermarket and it shows the Barclaycard Initial as good for poor credit ratings. They also list Capitol One but since I owed them going into my IVA I doubt they'll be too pleased to see me again. Would it be a waste...

So I've paid all 60 payments (in June), Pay Plan have had a meeting etc but I am still awaiting my certificate of completion. Unfortunately I have to go to India in a couple of weeks for business and really want to have a credit card in my back pocket for emergencies, hotels, flights etc etc and all...

Afternoon Jan & Michael, I signed up with Experian and got my online credit report, to be honest, I'm not entirely sure what it all means. There are a number of creditors on there listed as "default", some i recognise, some I dont and there are names I expected to see that arent there... is there a ...

Jan,

signed up with experian and got my credit report and sure enough, 7 accounts on default, some not updated since 2004! I think I'll wait until I get the certificate of completion from PayPlan before kicking up a fuss with the various creditors, do you know how long that takes to come through?

Hi Jan, Thanks for the quick reply. I was going to get a credit report done but didn't know whether to do it straight away or leave it a month or so, I doubt PayPlan have dished the money out yet so didn't want to waste time getting a report that will automatically change in a few weeks anyway. Shou...

Not sure this is the right place to put this but I have now made all 60 IVA payments and had the letter from PayPlan saying that I have satisfactorally (sp) paid everything. I know I now have to wait for the Certificate of Completion and for PayPlan to distribute the money etc, but after 5 years I j...
