You feel alone at times with this, ashamed, embarrassed etc etc but I was just reading another great thread, we are not bad people, we just got a few problems financially, well lots actuall...

Thanks once again for your kind replies, we are definitely going to have to go down the IVA route or at least debt management, we just cannot go on and the MBNA is coming out of its zero interest in September so then we are really screwed. Will make a couple of calls today and set the ball rolling. ...

Interesting Nic, thanks for that, its good to hear everyone's views and experiences. We feel a little relieved to see so many others in the same boat, obviously not really but you know what I mean. Seems there could be light at the end of the tunnel after all. Thanks.

Hi Micky You have no idea just how helpful you have been today, just by being there, and sharing your own experience. So its 75% of the number of creditors we owe rather than 75% of the debt being agreed, if that makes sense. eg. if the 4 other creditors agreed and mbna didnt (even though we owe the...

John thanks for that, I know the only way is to get moving but we have just...

Hello everyone, thanks so much for the kind replies, its nice to know that someone is there who understands. Micky, thanks for going into detail, much appreciated. Why is it so hard to get started on this. Melanie, I kind of guessed that would be the answer and that we would have to save from our bi...

Hello and thanks for the quick responses, it makes sense really, I dont think any solution would mean you dont have any life, its depressing enough being in all this debt. We just cannot seem to get the ball rolling for fear of being knocked back and all the paperwork involved after last time. My ot...

Hello, really pleased to have found this forum. Myself and my husband owe £30,000 of unsecured debt to 1 loan, 4 x credit cards and an overdraft. We have been going around in circles, looked at an IVA before but the company went through the lines of a debt management route (admitted it was their err...
