Correct.
If you look in your proposal, there should be a paragraph on Windfalls.
If you get a windfall you must notify your supervisor.
IVA's are there for people who cannot afford to pay their debt back in full, so if you can, it is only fair that you do so.

NeverEnding. Usually I wouldn't take offence at people not being nice to the company I work for but I have to put my foot down with this one. It is appalling you are correct....but on behalf of the creditors, not the company. I have sent out the chairmans report, proposal, everything to some credito...

You would be better ringing a company/IP and giving them all your details. ALthough we have a nice outline of your circumstances here we would need to know the ins & outs of your expenditure really before we could advise. I obviously do not expect you to put that on here so my advice would be to con...

Hi Laleanne, I have read on previous threads that you are with debtmatters. I work there, If you send in any correspondance you have from any creditors into us we will kindly remind them you are in an IVA. If you are just receiving phone calls - politely tell them that you are in an IVA, give them y...

Hi Timl, Most people who enter into an IVA do have a bad credit rating so don't worry about that one. Now then, your mortgage, what is it you are worrying about? Your current mortgage, getting a mortgage or re-mortgaging in the future? Let me know so that I can give an appropriate answer! It is diff...

It is impossible to not worry you are right. The thing is, Your wedding is such a happy occasion, you cannot let the result of your IVA change that. If your IP thought your IVA wouldn't pass, they would have advised you of a better option. Hang in there, I'm sure everything will work out for the bes...

You would need to discuss this with your IP but as far as I can see, as long as you haven't missed previous payment or are in arrears I can;t see it being a problem, however you would need to check with your IP as every IVA is different. Is this just due to the MOT or has your car insurance increase...

Davina, I am very sorry that you feel you have been badly advised. First of all, if you can afford to increase your contributions, you could see whether or not you could arrange a shorter term for your IVA. An IVA is not stuck at a five year term. I have drafted IVA's for one & three years before no...

Quegkey, Obviously each company works differently, but from my experiences we refund the money. In most cases an IVA is free for debtors, although the IP is obviously receiving a fee for their work, it is the creditor who loses out on that money, not the debtor. So although the creditors may reject ...
