Thanks folks. Just taken another step and cancelled all non essential direct debits online. Pretty scarey as we have juggled money for months to make sure everything got paid and theres no turning back now.
Wife went mental when it was announced that our trust deed application gets put in the edinburgh gazette, until she found out it was a financial tool that normal people outside the industry wouldnt read!!

Thanks for the continued support.

Paul.
Discharged today the 8th feb 2012. View is much brighter now.
Continuing to rebuild our credit worthiness.

I was exactly like you Paul, I was so nervous when I stopped paying everyone. Well done and I do wish you all the best. Keep posting, not many of us on here know about the scottish iva, well I don't anyway. You'll always have support here if needed. Viki X

Hi Paul. I cancelled all non-essentials and changed by bank account last week and the feeling at the time wasn't good. One week on, and I feel so much more positive, and feel although the debts are still there, and with professional help, I have now moved into another episode of my life. Good luck on the forthcoming news of protected status (although I know nothing about IVAs north of the border or south for that matter!) but we are all supporting you and are here if you need a helping hand. Take Care Kazzy x
