Really pleased you had such a fantastic result, and finding someone else in the same position at your works means you can support one another, I have someone at my works who is in an IVA as well and we support one another, it is a great help to be able to talk about it with someone face to face and not have to be wary of everything you say about finances.
If life is what you make it, I must have been in a strange mood when I made mine
Excellent result and I am so pleased that you have got that hurdle out of the way. Good luck with the IVA proposal and don't forget we're here for any quesions and support.
Please do a blog, it's very therapeutic and we love to read them.

I agree with Lesley that you should speak to two or three firms before making the final decision.

That's a great story of support from your line manager and colleague, with others will be much encouraged to read if they are afraid of sharing their difficulties with others. I bet you feel tons better now, and do let us know how you get on. Presumably your employer recommended CCCS?
Yes my employer recommended CCCS. I first rang the free Employee Assistance Helpline (which offers free advice to colleagues, family and friends) who referred me to CCCS. To be honest though I am not very happy with the service so far. I was informed I would receive a phone call between 12pm and 3pm today, to discuss the IVA route, they didn't ring. Feeling deflated and down again, may just give your company a call instead.
She comes highly recommended, is a lovely lady and you could do a lot worse than give her company a call.

I would advise you to take the opinion of one or two potential IP's prior to making that decision. You'll know when you've found the right one, I'm a client of Melanie's and I agree you wouldn't go far wrong having a chat with her. x
IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.
We would be delighted to try and help if we can - even if just to give you a second opinion. The CCCS are recommended by a lot of banks, because they are funded by a number of the banks themselves.
