I have managed a few quid - usually before Christmas time. I did wonder the same thing though. If you can save, then can they take it from you for creditors ?

It more related to holidays really in that if you can save enough for a holiday, by scrimping and scraping, would your IP say that you can then scrimp and scrape to pay the creditors ?
There's light at the end of the tunnel - it's just that sometimes the tunnel seems so long.

Anything you manage to save... i.e from savings on shopping to contingency is yours to keep and wont be taken off you.
Try to open a savings account for any contingency money to be saved in, along with anything you manage to save on shopping and such like.

Obviously savings on insurances etc will be declared and proved in your annual review and then taken into account accordingly but anything else you manage to save will be yours to keep.

This year I have given my friend £5 per week from Jan till Christmas and she's saving it for me. We'll have over £200 to spend at Christmas. I also get £2 week saver stamps from the supermarket and this helps with shopping.
IVA completed September 2014. Finaly debt free - final dividend 88p/£

We have a Christmas savings club at work, that really helps.
We're willing to wipe the slate clean, give you a fresh start. All that we're asking in return is your cooperation.

IVA final payment left the bank on the 26th January 2013...looking forward to a debt free future.
