Slightly round about post here ..... I remember, not so long ago, a poster a asking about being able to buy their Local Authority or Housing Association house under the Right to Buy Scheme while they had an IVA. I apologise that I cannot remember who !
As far as I recall the advice given at the time probably suggested a chat with Ryan and / or Shaun, both being mortgage experts with considerable experience and expertise in the field of adverse credit, but that getting an RtB mortgage with an IVA on record was impossible.
I have since learned that Ryan of The Mortgage Expert now has a lender willing to consider Right to Buy applications from those with a completed IVA still showing on credit files. So,if you were that poster --- the situation has changed and a RtB mortgage might now be possible.
