I am considering an IVA. Part of my income comes from the rental of two properties. If I entered into an IVA would they accept the rental income as part of the payment plan or would the properties have to be sold to release the small equity in them. I also have a mortgage on the property I reside in. This property is in joint names with my wife, is this also at risk?

Hi John I welcome to the forum

When it comes to property its is an area I am not very clued up on, but please do hang on as there are others whom will be able to answer your questions.

Please take a look at the www.iva.com for a list of reputable firms & reviews, pick 2/3 that you like the look of & give them all a ring for some free & impartial advice to your situation.
They will be able to answer your questions & let you know of the solutions that could be suitable for you.
Final IVA payment made in April 2013, never ever thought we could do it or get through it but we did! X
